GyroHSR has hired Peter Davis from rival Manchester agency Amaze as the replacement for former creative director Dom Rodwell, who left last month.

Davis has been the creative director at Amaze and (as it was previously known) Pavilion for the past eight years. Before that he occupied senior posts at McCann Erickson Manchester and DMB&B London.

In a statement issued to the trade press Gyro said Davis would assume the role of executive creative director.

Managing director Danny Turnbull said: "Peter’s appointment endorses gyro’s commitment to top-level creative talent. We are delighted to have found someone of Peter’s caliber who shares our vision and ambition."
