The BIG Partnership is to launch the country’s first dedicated energy communications service today at the All Energy Exhibition and Conference 2011 in Aberdeen.

BIG’s energy unit, headed by director Zoe Corsi (pictured), harnesses the agency’s expertise in media relations, stakeholder engagement and consultation, social media, planning and crisis management with its extensive experience in the energy sector and promote it to industry bodies, developers, multi-nationals, inward investors and start-up technology companies operating in all sectors of the energy industry.

Already almost £1 million of Scotland’s largest PR agency’s turnover comes from energy clients such as AREG, Centrica, Langlee Wave Power, Senergy, Shell, Scottish Power and Xodus Group and the agency is seeking to double this over the next 12 months.

Corsi explained: “Energy is a vital part of the Scottish economy and All Energy is an ideal platform to highlight our expertise in this sector. We have worked extensively for clients in upstream oil and gas for over 10 years and are now capitalising on the exciting opportunities in areas such as carbon capture and storage, onshore and offshore wind, biomass and marine renewables.

”For over ten years, we have worked at a senior level, providing strategic consultancy to both the public and private sector on energy-related issues. The dedicated energy unit will offer a range of communications solutions to the challenges facing energy companies and position BIG as the market leader in energy communications.”
