Despite a growth in revenue of 3%, UTV Media has said that it remains ‘cautious’ for 2011.

The first four months of 2011 has seen the ITV licence holder grow its revenue, with TV expected to be up 2% this month along in comparison with this time last year, but down 8% in June.

Radio revenue is also set to decline by 9% over May and June in comparison to last year.

"In the current environment of economic uncertainty airtime bookings offer limited forward visibility and we therefore remain cautious about the remainder of the year,” a statement from the company said.

"Nonetheless our television and radio divisions have had a good start to the year, outperforming in their respective markets and we are currently on track to meet market expectations for the year."

UTV also owns radio channel TalkSport which recently announced the highest listening figures in its history.
