Home shopping group Freemans Grattan Holding (FGH) has appointed Brass to develop and launch a new clothing brand in the plus-size female market.

This will be the first plus-size brand from FGH and will see the Leeds creative agency tackle brand development and PR having previously carried out consumer research to develop and test the name and brand and devise a launch strategy which saw the creation of the Curvissa brand identity.

This is being supported through PR and social media activity, with Big Brother winner Josie Gibson acting as brand ambassador.

Helen Portas, creative brand manager at Freemans, added: “This project is one of the key developments for the business in the coming year and it’s great to be working with an agency like Brass. We have worked together to deliver a great brand and a really innovative and engaging integrated online and offline marketing plan that will ensure its success.”

Celebrity stylist Fiona Parkhouse has also been involved in styling the ranges, as well as a Facebook page for the brand, which provides style tips and advice.
