Former Bray Leino Bristol managing director, Ian Noble, has been appointed as managing director at Bath-based brand and communications agency, Lionhouse.

Noble worked for Bray Leino for over 10 years, before leaving in 2010 to start his own people development consultancy, The Difference Engine.

“Ian brings with him a wealth of experience,” explained Lionhouse creative director and founder Les Welch.

“Crucially, we share a vision for the kind of agency we want Lionhouse to be. An agency that is known for the commercial effect we have on our clients’ business as much as our creative offering. Ian has a canny business brain, is strategically strong and really gets how people work.

He’s great with clients and will add massively to the capability, the quality and the breadth of the work we do here. He and I will be working in tandem to ensure that we really push the huge potential that Lionhouse has.”

By understanding its clients’ business as a whole, Lionhouse seeks to break with tradition by using its creative talents in areas beyond its clients’ marketing and communications and deliver commercial results.

Welch explained that Noble’s skills as a people development coach enable him to understand how people work and therefore make him a great fit for the company’s business model.

“I didn’t know that I was going to join another agency,” explained Noble.

“But Les has redefined what an agency is: something that contributes to the commercial success of its clients’ brands; when he offered me this opportunity, I just had to accept.”
