Marketing source wins Santander brief

Exmouth-based Marketing Source has won a contract to provide Santander with the technology to implement its email communications for 2011/12.

Marketing Source will be providing the bank with a bespoke, secure email deployment and campaign management platform.

"Marketing Source’s unique approach to email broadcasting set them apart from the other companies in the pitch process, we believe the Marketing Source team have the technological expertise to help us deliver a really strong email communications program," said Rob McCarthy, head of customer relationship marketing campaigns for Santander.

The appointment comes as Santander aims to increase its engagement with customers through email. The bank was seeking to send highly secure and fast email communications to millions of customers.

"This is fantastic news for Marketing Source;” said Stuart Robb, Marketing Source’s managing director.

“We are able to offer Santander a unique and truly bespoke solution to enable them to successfully implement their email customer communications. We have been developing our email technologies for some time and as a smaller company, it’s testament to our technological know-how that we were able to beat our larger competitors. We are looking forward to getting started and working together."

Marketing Source has previously worked with a number of financial clients, including Lloyds TSB, HSBC and American Express.
