Both the Guardian and Times are understood to have sold an extra 25% compared to the previous Saturday, with the Guardian selling 500,000 and the Times 700,000.
The Independent is thought to have upped sales by around 10% to 230,000, the Daily Telegraph by 20% to 950,000, the Sun by 20% to 3,300,000, and insiders at the Daily Mail have reportedly indicated sales to be “well up” compared to its Saturday average of 3,100,000 although no estimate was given.
