So what brands are doing what in the newspapers today to celebrate the Royal Wedding? Here we take a look at some of the more imaginative and not so imaginative offerings from some of Britain’s biggest brands.

Highstreet brand Superdrug uses the royal wedding as an excuse for a 'For richer, for poorer' price comparison test with pharmaceutical rival Boots, while Habitat offers 20% off to 'get into the bank holiday spirit' and Argos tries to shift some Panasonic shavers with 'you may kiss the bride'…

Of the supermarket brands in today’s press Sainsbury’s is promoting its half price offerings as 'Perfect for celebrating your extra day off work (sunshine not included)' while Tesco reworks its logo to include a lucky horse shoe instead of the letter 'c'…

Drinks giants Diageo and Schweppes celebrate an extra day off and Carlsberg highlights its appointment to the royal Danish court and its new 'that calls for a Carlsberg' tagline in its offering…

monarch.co.uk, obviously not going to miss out on the action, offers £10 off flights with the code willkate and easyJet makes some wedding puns with its flight destination, including 'Almeria', 'too good Toulouse' and 'Bologna together'…

William Hill takes out an ad to showcase royal wedding themed bets, including 'colour of Kate Middleton's wedding dress', 'length of train on Kate’s wedding dress' and 'year of William & Kate’s first baby'…

Go Folic talks family planning…

Vauxhall continues its '16 great offers for 16 days' spring bank holiday campaign…

And the PG Tips monkey says 'put the kettle on and get the tissues out.' Who could possibly disagree with that? Sniff.
