Wini Tse, creative partner and co-founder of Code Computerlove has joined the Board of Trustees for online art resource Axis.

In joining the board Tse will work with the charity to promote contemporary artists through its website and build the reputation within the arts community.

Sarah Fisher chair of Axis said: "We are thrilled to have someone of Wini's experience and standing join the Axis Board. As a founding director of one of the UK's leading digital agencies, he brings his creative insight and business acumen to Axis at the very moment it is most needed. Like all arts organisations, we must find new ways of generating revenue and I have no doubt that Wini will help us do just that."

Tse added: “I think it’s imperative that we support the amazingly talented artists we have in this country as the sector in my opinion not only helps fuel the UK's creative industries but also acts as a catalyst for many more things such as urban regeneration and social education. Art is the cultural expression of society and one of the most powerful and accessible vehicles of communications in our increasingly complicated world and I hope that my appointment to the board can help Axis extend their global reputation for promoting creative excellence and innovation and realise their ambition to be the world's leading contemporary arts platform."

Axis is a registered charity supported by the Arts Councils of England and Wales that aims to lead online presentation of contemporary art in the UK.
