Markel UK appoints Umpf and Epiphany for new brand launch

Markel UK is launching new brand Markel Direct to allow it to sell business insurance products direct-to-market as it looks to capitalise on growing demand to source and purchase business insurance online.

To assist the launch the specialist insurer has appointed PR and social media agency Umpf and search marketing specialists Epiphany Solutions.

Leeds-based Umpf is set to support the launch across traditional and social media platforms, exploiting Twitter and Quora and executing a comprehensive press launch across traditional media, while Epiphany, also Leeds-based, will provide search consultancy and support with website development.

Umpf owner and founder Adrian Johnson commented: “We are delighted to support Markel UK as they launch Markel Direct. The company has a rich heritage and an exciting future. Our campaign will focus on communicating the brand’s USPs, whilst engaging with potential customers through social media platforms and via traditional media.”
