GMG Radio is offering 10 work experience placements across its Real Radio stations in Wales, Yorkshire, Scotland, the North East and North West.

Aspiring presenters, journalists, producers, sales people, digital wizards and marketeers will be given a one-week intensive training programme as part of GMG's 'Futures Factory' scheme.

It was launched by GMG Radio's director of programming, John Simons (pictured), at yesterday's Student Radio Conference.

Simons said: "This is a unique opportunity for students to come along and get first-hand experience of what it is like to work at some of the country’s leading radio stations. We are investing in our industry’s future and looking to uncover tomorrow’s talent today through the Futures Factory.”
