Stickler joins TBWA\London as strategy director for MARS

Former head of strategy and planning for 23red, Carol Stickler has joined TBWA\London as its new strategy director for the agency’s MARS account.

Stickler joins following the restructure of the global MARS account, with TBWA\London acting as the lead network agency for TWIX, as well as consolidating all lead communications for cat food brand Whiskas within the agency as well.

As a result, Stickler will head up the global strategy for Whiskas and also oversee the running of the strategy for Twix, with responsibility for generating insight and collaborative communications to work effectively across all markets.

She will report into chief strategy officer, Zaid Al-Zaidy and global business director for MARS at TBWA\London, Erika Darmstaedter.

She was previously responsible for setting up the planning department at 23red, having also previously held board account director roles at Euro RSCG Wnek Gosper and Rainey Kelly Campbell Roalfe/Y&R.

Zaid Al-Zaidy said: “Carol is perfect casting for TBWA\ and our culture of disruptive ideas and end to end branded experiences. As a seriously accomplished senior planner and a lovely person, Carol brings with her ‘friendly gravitas’ and, critically, a love of chocolate and cats.”

Stickler’s joins following the recent appointment of Kasia Zaniewska as strategy director at TBWA\London.
