Clock Creative is helping its home town of Ramsbottom celebrate its annual Chocolate Festival this weekend by creating a QR Code... out of chocolate.

The metre-high code is made out of 500 pieces of white and dark chocolate and gives offers and promotions to those who scan it on their phones.

Martin Dickson, head of design at Clock, said: "Over 25,000 people are coming to Ramsbottom during the festival and we wanted to get involved and create something a bit different.

“Working with our local chocolate hero and creator of the Ramsbottom Chocolate Festival - The Chocolate Café – we put our minds to the test of how best to promote the event. We think the chocolate QR code is a first and only hope it doesn’t melt!”

The chocolate QR Code will be in the window of the Chocolate Café for the next few weeks.
