Send a Cow, the charity that helps rural African farmers out of poverty, has launched a new campaign as it looks to recruit more supporters.

Marketing agency TDA has created a campaign which encourage readers to "Grow an African farm, and change a family's future" from £3 a month.

The A5 inserts will appear in consumer press titles such as Guardian Weekend, The Sunday Times, BBC Wildlife, BBC Garderner's World, Grow It and Church Times.

Send a Cow hopes the campaign, running into May, will broaden its supporter base and appeal to people who are unable to commit to larger regular donations.

"This campaign aims to engage with more potential donors in a fun and involving way," said Andrea Lee, senior account manager at TDA.

"Once they've made their initial regular gift, Send a Cow will keep them regularly informed about what their money is helping to achieve, thereby demonstrating the tangible outcome of their investment."
