Atkins has appointed Vincent Huinck as its new international marketing director.
Huinck will take responsibility for the weight controlled nutrition brand’s positioning strategy, category and development within existing and new markets. Based in the Netherlands, Huinck will also help to provide insight for product innovation, driven by consumer understanding and needs.
Huinck, who was brand director at Martini for five years, said of his new employer: “Atkins has a young and entrepreneurial personality, so despite the brand being well established in the ‘diet’ category, there are still vast opportunities, especially in terms of expansion into the ‘lifestyle’ category and other European markets.”
Atkins UK MD Peter Valentine added: “The depth and breadth of knowledge of lifestyle brands and the UK market that Vincent brings to Atkins will be extremely important. In the UK, there are plans to roll out a fresh new marketing campaign, utilising online and offline media, with a look to broadcast media in the future.”
