Simon Cowell to quit X Factor
Outspoken critic Simon Cowell’s barbed put downs will not appear in the new season of Britain’s X Factor, ITV bosses have conceded.
Reports in the Daily Mail suggest Cowell’s no-show comes amidst overlapping commitments to the US edition of the talent contest, with both filming simultaneously.
Despite concessions offered by the broadcaster, such as attending only live shows and even a private jet to shuttle the host across the pond, it was found that no solution was feasible.
Instead an unnamed source told the paper that Cowell will be absent for much of the show’s run, appearing only at the end of the series and at the contest finale.
