IPL cricket team Rajasthan Royals has appointed Chocolate, the Indian design arm of Manchester's Photolink Creative Group, to build its brand in the run up to the new season.

Chocolate's brief is to manage the Royals' entire online presence and develop a new photographic style for the Twenty20 team.

It is redeveloping the front end of the Royals' website before moving on to more design and digital work at the end of the summer.

Rajasthan Royals are one of the most glamorous teams in the IPL, captained by the Australian bowling legend Shane Warne and owned by Bollywood star Shilpa Shetty.

The team's CEO, Sean Morris, said: “We are looking to build on our inherently Indian roots, and to expand our Indian fan base. Through this, we also hope to give the team a more global image, attracting even more attention to the game and the IPL.”

Photolink founder David Walter added: "As a relatively new agency in India, although well established in the UK, we’re intending to blend our UK-evolved marketing expertise with the local market knowledge of India to create a unique identity for the team that both the Rajasthan Royals and India can be proud of.”
