Design agency Navyblue is understood to have made around eight roles redundant as part of a cost saving process across its Edinburgh and London offices, while two further members were also set to depart.

The roles are thought to have mainly been based in the Edinburgh offices, and included roles such as senior designers, a creative director, art workers and project managers, although two members of staff were also leaving. Five staff members are understood to be affected in Edinburgh and three in London.

Commenting on the decision, group managing director Douglas Alexander explained that the process was in alignment with the cost spend required for work that was in the pipeline and that the company was carrying too much cost.
