The Gate Films promotes Jaspers to senior producer
The Gate Films has promoted Viv Jaspers to the role of senior producer as part of big changes at the Manchester and Edinburgh production company.
Jaspers joined The Gate as a production assistant from ad agency Newhaven a little over five years ago. Her promotion coincides with the arrival of four new directors including The Mob's Richard Oliver.
Managing director Steve Byrne said: "Anyone who has worked with Viv can’t fail to have been inspired by her creative dynamism and her unfailing commitment to delivering the best possible service.
"She has the respect of the director roster and of the owners of The Gate Films as demonstrated when she was recently invited on to the board."
Jaspers told The Drum she was excited by the changes at The Gate, which is entering its fifteenth year in business.
She said: "When the management board sat down with me at the beginning of the year, they made clear their commitment to further driving forward the creative credentials of the company. We've been working closely together since then on our shared vision for The Gate Films and I'm genuinely excited about the changes we're making.
"The new directors arriving on the roster offer a perfect blend to the fantastic talent we have already and I'd like to think that when combined with the agile processes we're adopting, we will be able to deliver a consistently first class production service that places creative potential at the core."
The other new directors joining The Gate are due to be announced in the coming weeks.
