The family of bride to be Kate Middleton have taken their concerns over paparazzi harassment to the press complaints commission.

It follows publication of a series of pictures of the Middleton’s out and about including one published in the Daily Mail which criticised Kate’s mothers dress sense whilst on a recent London shopping expedition.

No official complaint has yet been made but contact has been established, prompting the PPC to send and advisory note to editors to remind people of the editors code of practice.

This sanctions photography in public but bars journalists from engaging in “intimidation, harassment or persistent pursuit.”

It is reported however that the Middleton’s have been pursued both on foot and via moped by photographers, potentially in breach of the code.
