JC Decaux UK has been awarded the advertising contract for the East Coast Main Line, a contract which was previously held by CBS Outdoor.

The appointment will cover outdoor, ambient and experiential advertising across 12 stations such as Newcastle and York, with rail services passing between London’s King’s Cross, the East Midlands, Yorkshire, the North East of England and Scotland.

JC Decaux has been tasked with developing and selling outdoor advertising sites at the 12 stations as a result.

Jeremy Male, chief executive officer UK and Northern Europe, JCDecaux, commented: “This key contract will enable our clients to reach audiences travelling the East Coast Main Line between London King’s Cross and Scotland, strengthening our rail coverage in the North and North East. We have exciting plans to redevelop the advertising space, introducing new products including digital screens and high-definition recyclable posters.”
