Sale of production company to ITV could net Ant and Dec £10 million

The sale of production company Gallowgate by TV presenters Ant and Dec to ITV could net the pair as much as £10 million.

The Sun says that talks have been ongoing between the duo and ITV for months, with the commercial broadcaster keen to buy the seven-year-old firm which holds the rights to shows such as Push The Button, Saturday Night Takeaway and Byker Grove, the series in which they first appeared.

According to production sources, The Sun claims that the value of the company could be as much as £10 million.

While Gallowgate did not comment, a spokesperson for ITV said: "Our focus is on improving the creative output of ITV. We have also been clear that we want to develop our international footprint and we will look at opportunities to invest in that area."
