Marketing group Golley Slater has launched a new division named Golley Retail based at its Leeds office.

Golley Slater has spent the last decade working with brands in the retail sectors and said it had seen a 20% growth in retail-related marketing accounts in 2010.

This means the new arm launches with a client list that already includes Asda, Procter & Gamble and Vivalis.

Managing director Tim Orrell (pictured) said: "Feedback from our clients has shown that millions can be spent above the line, repositioning the way brands are perceived, but the challenge is for this to be translated in store to ensure the product stands out from the competition and, in turn, for consumers to think of it in a different way."

Golley Retail will offer traditional advertising, sales promotions and digital through to PR and social media.
