The Million Pound Drop Live producer to join ITV Studios

Nic McNeilis, co-developer and executive producer of The Million Pound Drop Live at Endemol, is to join ITV Studios Entertainment Team of creative directors.

McNeilis will report to managing director of ITV Studios, Kevin Lygo, taking on executive producer responsibilities for the production facilities entertainment content, while also working with the development team to pilot new primetime entertainment programmes.

As well as The Million Pound Drop Live, broadcast on Channel 4, McNeilis has also served as executive producer for Soccert Aid, The One and Only and Comic Relief Does Fame Academy.

Kevin Lygo, managing director for ITV Studios said: “Growing the ITV Studios business is dependent on developing and piloting a larger volume of new ambitious content and this means recruiting even more experienced creatives. I’m delighted to be welcoming Nic to join our team of Entertainment Creative Directors, she is one of the most experienced and creative Executive Producers working in the industry today; with a background in developing and producing live prime-time entertainment she is perfectly placed to be part of ITV Studios next stage of growth.”

The appointment of McNeilis, who will begin in May, will bring the number of creative directors at ITV Studios to six, including Sumi Connock, Lee Connolly, Richard Cowles, Michael Kelpie and Katie Rawcliffe.
