Liverpool FC is looking for a naming partner, despite ruling out selling the rights to rename Anfield Stadium.

The club’s owners. Fenway Sports Group, has said that they are looking for a partner should it choose to move to a new stadium, in an effort to increase the capacity that can watch home matches.

Speaking at football conference SoccerEx, being held in Manchester, Ian Ayre, managing director of Liverpool FC, confirmed that the club was looking for a naming rights partner, but only for a new stadium should the decision to move be taken.

“From our perspective that is a real concern because that is something we are talking to people about right now — what is the number, what is the right price, the market value? As one of the truly global football brands what is the number, the market value?” Ayre told The Guardian.
