Aegon UK has altered its public facing websites in an effort to improve the financial brand’s online communications to customers.

The overhaul, with the aid of user experience agency Bunnyfoot, includes the merging of the company’s corporate and customer websites into one site, along with the dedicated adviser centre.

Ahead of the overhaul, the company undertook research and testing with advisers, consumers and employers in an effort to understand the way that the sites could benefit visitors and customers, and the different audiences wanted, resulting in a site which aims to be more accessible through simpler navigation.

Susan Wilcock, head of brand and external communications for Aegon UK, explained: “The internet continues to be an important communication tool for AEGON, as more people are using the web to research financial services and their products. It’s important that companies provide them with relevant information that’s engaging and easy to find.”

She added that the new site would also reflect the company’s brand name change, as it continued to move away from the AEGON Scottish Equitable brand.

Sarah Ronald, managing director of Bunnyfoot explained that its engagement with advisers, consumers and employers showed that similar navigation for a website, as well as making information easier to find, would deliver a ‘positive customer experience’.

The merged website it now live.
