Virgin Atlantic named brand of the decade at Travel Marketing Awards
The Travel Marketing Awards took place last night, aiming to recognise and reward the very best creative work in the travel sector.
Virgin Atlantic was named ‘Travel Brand of the Decade’ by the Chartered Institute of Marketing’s Travel Industry Group, while campaigns for Virgin Holidays, Innovation Norway and Brittany Ferries, as well as a TV ad for Visit Wales, all received the Gold Standard.
The awards aim to recognise and reward the very best creative work in the travel sector and are rated on a points system, with runners-up and winners graded gold, silver and bronze according to excellence. This year there were a total of 4 gold rated winners and 23 silver rated winners.
There were 27 different awards presented, divided into three sections; Advertising, Marketing and Campaigns of the Year, plus a new award; Travel Brand of The Decade Award.
