The events team at Carnyx, which organises events such as The Roses Advertising Awards, the Dadi awards, The Chip Shop Awards and the Scottish Advertising Awards, has been restructured, with Lynn Lester taking control as managing director of the resulting events company.

Formerly events director at Carnyx, Lester has been tasked with driving the events business forward and has begun to take an overview of existing activity and will also look to develop new projects.

As a result, Katy Thomson has been promoted to assistant events director and will be heavily involved in devising the strategy behind new awards and developing the existing events. Kim Baran and Lyndsay Wilson have been named as event executives.

Baran and Wilson will manage key events within the Carnyx portfolio, with duties such as marketing, entry organisation, ticket sales, judging sessions and organising the awards.

Meanwhile Nicole Harrington has been hired to oversee sponsorship for events as new business consultant.

“We have already launched the Online Media Awards and shortly we will be announcing a few other key events - so watch this space. The next few months will be a lot of hard work but I've got a fantastic team so the sky is the limit,” commented Lester.

The restructure will take effect immediately.
