Nokia has launched its Nokia Short 2011 competition, offering a $10,000 top prize and an all-expenses-paid trip to the London Film Museum for the best mobile motion picture.

Together with Vimeo, Nokia is looking to nurture HD mobile movie making with the mobile motion picture competition; the communications corporation asking artists to pitch a great concept to a jury made up of R/GA CCO Bob Greenberg, film director and screenwriter Jalmari Helander, and Nokia vice president for marketing creation Steven Overman

Eight finalists will then get to shoot their short, with a $5,000 production budget and 2 Nokia N8s. The eight shorts will then premiere at Edinburgh International Film Festival, with the Nokia Shorts 2011 Jury Prize and $10,000 cash going to the best mobile motion picture.
