Smarts picks up PR contract to raise profile of Border Biscuits
Border Biscuits has appointed Smarts to handle its trade and consumer PR following a two-way pitch.
The Glasgow and Edinburgh communications agency has been tasked with raising the profile of the biscuit brand across both Scottish and UK media.
David Reid, marketing director for Border Biscuits, explained: "We shortlisted two of Scotland's leading PR companies, Smarts and Threebrand, and it was always going to be a tough decision deciding which one was the best fit for Border. Both companies put forward excellent ideas, but in the end we felt Smarts just shaded it. We are now really looking forward to developing a strong working relationship with Lesley and her team."
Lesley Alexander, managing director of Smarts Scotland, commented: “This is a really exciting time for Border Biscuits and we are looking forward to developing a campaign to help elevate the brand’s profile on a national level and of course to sampling the delicious range in the office.”
Border Biscuits recently worked with Threebrand on developing a TV campaign, and is currently creating a new website for the brand.
