Sheffield agency Front has been appointed by English Heritage to promote and market its Wrest Park property in Bedfordshire.

Front picked up the brief following a competitive pitch and its work will run in phases throughout 2011.

The campaign comes after English Heritage secured £1.14m worth of Heritage Lottery Funding to transform Wrest Park into a new attraction, dubbed the 'Sleeping Beauty of English Gardens'.

Front's first task was to carry out a full brand development exercise and its first campaign will start in the run up to Easter with a major push for Wrest Park’s three day St George’s Day Festival.

The main awareness campaign will then kick off in July under the theme ‘Join the Wrest Park Revival’ and will encompass outdoor, press, online and radio.

Front director Joe Chetcuti said: "Wrest Park is a stunning property so it’s been fantastic to really get stuck in and make our mark. We like to think that we are helping to wake this magnificent garden by turning it into something pro-active, energetic and engaging."
