Spin launches iPad app with embedded music and video

Music magazine Spin has launched a new iPad app which uses embedded music and video content in each issue.

As reported by Music Week, the Spin Play app for iPad costs £1.24 per issue or £4.96 or an annual subscription.

Each digital issue will be armed with 60 tracks that stream within the app alongside exclusive editorial content. Users have the option off buying the tracks via iTunes integrated links.

Spin production director Dylan Boelte said the app would provide a “totally immersive” experience, with videos also built into the application.

Spin will offer exclusive interview, performance and behind-the-scenes video footage of bands created in and around the magazine's office.

The app is currently only available in the US.
