As if Geordie duo Ant & Dec haven’t been dominating the schedules enough it has been revealed that the pair are set to intrude upon a host of TV and radio broadcasts today as part of a stunt for Comic Relief.

The twosome are locked in a bid to appear live on air on as many different sets as possible over the next 12 hours, part of an elaborate bid to collect items for charity which can be flogged for Comic Relief on Red Nose day.

Their day began when they waltzed onto the set of the ITV’s Daybreak show in order to snaffle a sofa from a bemused Adrian Chiles and Christine Bleakley.

Ant (or maybe Dec) explained their actions, saying: “we’re nicking stuff basically; we’re nicking stuff for auction.”

Sadly the presenters required their sofa for sitting on but promised they could have it come Friday, proffering their shoes by way of recompense.

The BBC hasn’t escaped the pair’s magpie antics either as they paid a visit to the channels Breakfast show before proceeding to filch a host of items from the kitchen cupboards, including some cake and a chopping board.
