Charlie Sheen reaches two million Twitter followers in under a week
Less than a week after being confirmed as a Guinness World Record holder having gained over 1 million followers in around a day, actor Charlie Sheen has now doubled that total.
It took the Two and a Half Men actor 25 hours and 17 minutes to amass 1 million followers, but now he has begun to tweet about having doubled that number in less than a week, with one tweet reading: "Hey Guinness, might wanna start writing them in pencil.”
As a result of his online popularity, Sheen is likely to make $1 million-a-year from product endorsements, although the first episode of his live online show, ‘Sheen’s Korner’ has apparently not proven quite as popular with his audience.
Lady Gaga is currently the most popular celebrity on Twitter, with 8.6 million followers.
