Ensuring a good user experience is the most vital aspect of any online platform. MiNetwork has joined forces with a number of User Experience Design experts to outline the key ingredients of first rate User Experience design at MiNetwork's next North East event.

The subject of User Experience (UX) is becoming increasingly important in the digital age as brands and agencies alike strive to ensure that any online interaction with consumers offers a high quality experience from the second they log on to a website to the moment they leave.

MiNetwork has joined forces with one of the north east’s leading User Experience design agencies Orange Bus to deliver an in depth two-hour briefing on what a strong focus on UX can deliver for your brand and the brands that you, as a marketer, may be working with.

Julian Leighton, founder of Orange Bus, will outline the fundamentals of what User Experience encompasses and why it is important for brands to embrace UX as early in the design process as possible. User Experience Designer Joanne Richardson will then look at how a strong focus on UX has helped companies across the globe and how you can use it to give your brand the inside track on your next project.

The event's keynote speaker will be Digital Marketing Director at DFDS Seaways Tom Fotheringham, who will talk about conversion rate optimisation and winning new business via the internet.

Fotheringham is an industry respected expert in digital marketing and online conversion and during his time with DFDS Seaways has increased online sales from 34% to 76%, increasing profits along the way.

Speaking of the event, Julian Leighton said: “User Experience design is a critical element of any online project. Research tells us that a customer who has a positive experience will, on average, tell two people about it, however a bad experience tends to illicit a much stronger reaction, with those customers telling 17 people. By ensuring visitors have a positive experience you can effectively enhance the quality of your offering and the happiness of your clients, and it's obvious to anyone that a happy customer is more likely to buy from you and help spread the word about your product or service.”

Richard Draycott, managing director of MiNetwork, added: “This event is a must attend for any client planning to overhaul their online presence or e-commerce strategy in the coming year. And for any agency working with clients on improving their online propositions. We’ll hear about some cutting edge techniques and strategies during the evening and, as always with MiNetwork events, there’ll be plenty of opportunity to discuss and debate what you have heard with fellow delegates and panelists.”
