Every day, another way to sell your wares. Now Skype is getting in on the act and they start with some big name advertisers

The first advertisers: will be Groupon, Nokia, Universal Pictures and Visa, said the Luxembourg-based company, which is 30 per cent owned by online auction house eBay.

Skype, which has 145 million users a month - 29 million at peak times - believes it is an attractive marketplace for brands. Large-format, rich interactive ads are supported.

Display ads can also feature a "Click & Call" button so that users can act on impulse. Ads can be shared on Facebook and Twitter.

Would be advertisers are invited to contact advertising sales companies such as Ad2One in the U.K, Meebo in the U.S, andStroer Interactive in Germany.
