Where do these great movie ideas come from? In the case of the King's Speech winner of the best film Oscar early today, the idea came from the director's mum

Hooper told how his mother, who was in the audience at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood, phoned him after seeing a one-night-only staged reading of the King's Speech story. "I've found the material for your next film, "she said. Mr. Hooper declared,"The moral of the story is, listen to your mother." Briton Christian Bale took the statuette for best supporting actor in The Fighter.
