SKV to promote Blackpool's Showzam!

Tourism body visitBlackpool has retained SKV Communications to promote the resort's February Festival, which includes circus, magic and variety event Showzam!

Manchester-based SKV worked on Showzam! last year and it will again be promoting a mixture of ticketed shows, including water acrobratics spectacle SOAP, street theatre and family activities.

SKV Associate Director Richard Bond said: "To say that Showzam! and the Blackpool February Festival is slightly unusual in terms of arts and culture PR is an understatement. But as we discovered last year the concept of a festival dedicated to circus, magic and new variety brings with it a wealth of fantastic PR angles and opportunities.

"It's also great to continue to our relationship with visitBlackpool. We worked with them closely during January's North of England Education Conference, and last year created a campaign focussing on Blackpool business tourism.

"And of course prior to that we were appointed to produce the award winning J'aime La Tour viral film to promote the resort to both UK and international audiences."
