PR agency sought by National Lottery for Olympic 2012 campaign

The National Lottery Promotions Unit, is seeking a sports PR agency for an Olympic 2012 tie-in campaign.

The successful applicant will be tasked with developing a creative PR programme which will form part of the National Lottery’s Olympic campaign and raise positive public perception of the good causes that lottery players money is spent on.

PR support is required for a campaign which will highlight the lottery’s investment into London 2012 and its legacy, while it also says that it will welcome creative ideas centred around the cultural Olympiad, as the agency may work on some ‘cultural Olympiad strands’.

The budget for the contract will be between £210,000 and £249,000 over a period of 16 months beginning around June or July.

An option for a 12 month extension may be implemented following the expiry of the initial deal.

Up to six agencies will be involved in the tender process which has a deadline of 14 March for expressions of interest.
