A campaign to promote the final season of rugby club Salford City Reds at its home in The Willows stadium has been created by K2L.

The campaign by the Trafford agency will roll out during the first home game of the Engage Super League season for Salford City Reds, against St Helens on 18 February.

Several of the matches will also be promoted through out the year, using the theme ‘We’re not going quietly’.

Paul McNally, communications manager at Salford City Reds, explained: “We wanted to launch our final season at The Willows with a creative campaign that would cause excitement and a bit of a stir ahead of the new season. The chance to say a final farewell to our historic ground is certainly cause for anticipation and excitement amongst our supporters, and we plan to go out in style.”

The team will move to the new £16 million City of Salford Stadium in 2012.
