Brilliant Media has made two senior appointments with Neil Charles joining as head of econometrics and Heather Healy as head of social media.

Charles has previously spent four years a business director at Mindshare Business Planning, and has also worked with EMI Records as a global consumer rollout manager, while Healy joins from Stickyeyes.

Charles commented on his appointment: “I’m genuinely excited to have joined Brilliant Media with the challenge of developing the econometrics capability here. Working for an independent agency has a strong appeal. I’m hoping we can quickly provide the type of off-line marketing measurement on which econometrics has always thrived and then use Brilliant’s online experience to push into some emerging areas in measurement – modelling the most efficient mix between ‘brand’, above the line, search and other online marketing channels.”

Meanwhile Healy said of her own role in overseeing social media at the media agency: “The social proposition at Brilliant is one that is truly integrated across all media channels - we understand the consumer journey both on and offline, so we see the full picture."

She continued: "The benefits of developing a Social team with an in-house Planning and Insight team alongside media teams in every channel (from TV all the way through to Search) enables us to have an enviable offering that few other agencies in the UK can claim to have. The Social team brings all media channels together and puts Social Media at the heart of them, enabling our clients to have a fully rounded approach to their online and offline presence. How consumers interact around brands and more importantly, how they want to interact with those brands is the most important insight we can give to our clients. “
