A new website for the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Scotland (ICAS) is to be designed by Realise following a tender process.

The website will aim to offer wider access for the 18,000 ICAS members to information and increase engagement with members and other key stakeholders through out Scotland and offer personalised content suited to specific individuals.

The site will also allow members to create online communities around specific subject areas to increase interaction among the community.

Jonathan Milne, director of communications at ICAS, commented: “The new website will form the cornerstone of ICAS’s digital strategy, giving our members new opportunities to engage with us and their peers to share valuable industry insights. It was Realise Digital’s combined technical and creative understanding of the project, its experience with the underlying content management system and its aspiration to build a personalised, community-led site that really made it stand out ahead of the competition.”

Nathan Fulwood, business development manager at Realise Digital, said: “The challenge for a large, dispersed organisation like ICAS lies in creating a site that can act as a unifying force. Not only does it need to be an easily accessible fount of information, it should become a destination for accountants across the globe looking to share expertise and ideas. By integrating the existing membership database, and leveraging the capabilities of Ektron’s CMS, the new site will be able to provide this highly personalised experience for all visitors.”
