A third-party comment system is set to be launched by Facebook in the next month that will allow users to make comments and discuss issues on digital publications and blogs.

The social media giant is currently seeking partner sites for the launch of the technology, reports cnet news, and is understood to be an expansion of the comment platform for blogs already in use by Facebook, that can integrate a newspaper or blog site to Facebook accounts.

One of the benefits offered to media outlets to introduce the system will be the opportunity to engage with a new audience, develop their reader’s engagement with their site and will be another channel through which they can distribute news.

Despite this, questions hang over how the anonymity of commenting, which is commonplace amoungst most comment enable sites, can be maintained by users.
