Latitude, the Warrington-based digital marketing agency, has been bought by data company Callcredit Information Group.

Cheshire-based Latitude, established in 2001, is best known for its work in search engine optimisation, pay-per-click, online display advertising and social media.

It employs 95 staff across offices in Warrington and London and works with clients such as Bet365, Tesco Mobile and Wiggle.

Callcredit manages consumer data for businesses in the UK and around the world and claims to employ "over 700 UK-based professionals" located in Bristol, Chalfont and Leeds.

Chris Savage, managing director of Callcredit Marketing Solutions, said: “We provide our clients with a wide range of innovative marketing solutions and this acquisition helps us to deliver an even more comprehensive range of digital services."

Alex Hoye, chief executive officer of Latitude, claimed the deal would edge his agency ahead of rivals. He said: "Combining with Callcredit enables us to be at the cutting edge of the online marketing data revolution in progress, benefiting our clients in ways that stand alone advertising agencies cannot achieve.

"Latitude’s online analytical capability working with Callcredit’s database of over 41 million consumers will allow us to set the standard in the industry."

Latitude was advised on the deal by Results International.
