Havas Media to set up dedicated social media offering

A dedicated social media offering is to be launched by Havas Media which aims to offer central support with strategy, new business and best practice with a team of over 40 social media experts across the company’s UK agencies.

Havas Media Social will be led by Neil Kleiner, who joined last April, while Amy Kean has also been appointed as director, reporting directly to Keliner, having works with the Internet Advertising Bureau since 2003.

Mark Craze, CEO of Havas Media UK, said of the Launch, “We see social media as an immensely exciting opportunity and invested heavily in it during 2010 with great success. Our growth plan is now moving to a new level and our clear goal is to be the thought leaders in all aspects of social. The recruitment of a top talent of Amy, the creation of Havas Media Social and the ongoing investment in all our business units social teams is geared to help us achieve this objective.”

Neil Kleiner, said “Social media services cannot and should not operate on a ‘one size fits all’ approach, because when done properly they fulfill a vast range of client objectives from marketing and awareness campaigns through to research, product development and CRM. We have evolved to help brands effectively inject ‘social’ into their business.”
