Angry Birds TV show in the works
They may have conquered smartphone gaming and even starred in their own board game but thus far television viewers have been spared the Angry Birds franchise – until now.
Rovio CEO Mikael Hed, the creative behind Angry Birds, has confirmed that the company is working on “broadcast content” for Angry Birds in an interview with C21media.net.
Angry Birds has been a smash hit on both iOS and Android platforms, prompting a PC conversion and work on updates for the Wii, Xbox and PS3.
Rovio announced a marketing deal for “Angry Birds” last year following interest from Hollywood in either a movie or TV adaptation of the flight of fancy.
Hed would not be drawn on any details but confirmed that they were looking to put the show into production.
