LivingSocial, the social commerce site, is to subdivide the London market into six separate regions to provide locals with more local daily deals.

Operating from London Central, North, West, South, East and City to make it easier for Londoners to see what is going on within their neighbourhood.

The model, termed hyper local, has already proven successful in a number of American cities, a feat which the service is keen to replicate in the UK.

Peter Briffett, LivingSocial UK MD says: “London is such a large city that it’s not just one market, but a plethora of intimate neighbourhoods. Offering multiple markets allows us to give members unique deals near where they live and work.”

Amazon recently invested $175m in LivingSocial as the two firms partner to boost sales, with over a million half price Amazon vouchers have been sold by the firm in its latest wheeze.
