Uncensored Playboy set for iPad debut
Those unhappy with lack of nudity in the present censored iPad edition of Playboy magazine are in for a treat this March as the platform plays host to the titular title in uncensored form.
Hugh Hefner himself revealed the coup via his twitter feed, adding that all back issues will be made available in addition to the current crop.
Apple has been notoriously prudish in its approach to nudity, with Steve Jobs going on record to state that he doesn’t want porn on the iOS platform.
Whether his recent departure from Apple on health grounds is coincidence or not it seems that Hefner believes he has finally got his way.
Speculation suggests that though differentiation between full frontal nudity and pornography is indistinct Apple will get round the quandary by introducing an additional layer of security to prevent children from accessing the content.
