Moneysupermarket.com has appointed Paul Troy to the newly created role of director of consumer marketing, joining from Barclaycard where he was head of global head of advertising & content.

Troy will report directly to director of marketing David Osborne as the site aims to consolidate its position as the most visited price comparison website in the UK.

It was recently announced that the website would also sponsor ITV1 talent show Britain’s Got Talent, while the new advertising campaign, featuring former deputy prime minister John Prescott, is set to roll out today (see below).
