Here, upon 12th night, comes The Drum's final guest online editor, Russell Townsend, managing director of Birmingham digital agency Clusta.

Hello all.

I hope my friends at The Drum have chosen a good day to bring you some of my thinking - not Boxing Day where you’ll all be too full to pull your phone out of your pocket and the battery in your new iPad has died !

For those of you who don’t know me I’m Russell Townsend, and I run alongside my long suffering business partner Matt Clugston at the digital agency Clusta. We've been producing, in my humble opinion, some pretty impressive work over the last twelve years and hope to continue doing so with the passion and excitement we first embraced all those years ago.

It’s been an emotional year here at Clusta. As with any agency we’ve had some high and lows, but thankfully the former won out, and we're going into 2011 not only very busy but also very proud of what we achieved this year. What I’ve chosen to share with you here are some of the best pieces of digital work I’ve seen - not just in 2010, but ever. There is increasingly more and more amazing work being delivered by great agencies out there, and people are realising that digital isn’t just matching luggage for an ATL campaign, but either a campaign in itself or the favourite cousin of a larger campaign.

My wishes for 2011 are a mix of personal, professional and altruistic – we have to get on with each other after all ! - and there have been countless incredible digital events happening this year so it’s been pretty hard trimming it down to the final five (sorry to those that I’ve missed).

Enough about me, here are some outpourings from my grey matter, in a websafe font...
